Abstract |
Josephus said the Samaritans built their own temple to the Lord on Mt. Gerizim. They contend that Gerizim is the site the Bible specifies instead of the Temple in Jerusalem. But was this Samaritan temple ever built? After more than 25 years of excavation, no temple building has been recovered. Our author is confident, however, that a Samaritan temple once stood there—and he has the goods to prove it. |
